Swinton have taken four triallists on board as they continue to build their squad for the 2013 Championship campaign.

Joe Parkinson, Lewis Brookes, Ashley Cooper and Adam Lewis have all be training with the Lions at the University of Chester’s Padgate centre.

Parkinson is a hooker who has being playing in the amateur game with Huddersfield club Slaithwaite after spending a year in Australia.

Brookes is a winger who was at Oldham while Cooper is a prop from Bolton rugby union club.

Lewis is a former England under-18s rugby union forward who has been playing for Fylde and Sedgley Park.

“They are good lads who have all backed themselves by coming down and training with us,” said coach Steve McCormack.

“They will be in the squad for Ian Watson‘s testimonial game at the end of the month and we will see how they go.”
