Swinton have signed outside-back Sam Grant from Wigan for the 2020 season.

The 20-year-old came through the academy at the Warriors and played four games for London Skolars last season via dual-registration. He also enjoyed a short stint at Rochdale.

Lions coach Stuart Littler said: “I’m really excited to be able to announce the signing of former Wigan junior Sam Grant.

“Sam is a very experienced academy star who has already had some success in his career.

“After watching academy games at our partner club Wigan, Sam was identified as a player who we felt had the potential if the opportunity ever arose to get him on board.

“I am pleased to say after meeting Sam a couple of times he sees us as a good fit for the next stage of his career. Sam will challenge for a centre berth, but he can also adequately cover the wing position.”
