Swinton retain Wales international Ben Morris

Swinton have confirmed that Wales international Ben Morris has signed a new one-year deal with the club.

The 22-year-old linked up with the Lions midway through the season following a short stint with rivals Rochdale. He has earned four caps for Wales.

Swinton coach Stuart Littler said: “Ben came to us mid-season and came with a good work ethic and mixed well with the squad having already known a good few of our players.

“He has represented Wales internationally and was unfortunate in that he came into our camp when our form was very consistent so this made changes to the squad quite hard.

“When Ben did get an opportunity I felt he got better the more his confidence grew. We have spoken about working hard during the pre-season and playing with that smile that we feel he has again now.

“Ben will challenge hard for a place in our starting line-up and we want competition in every department within our team. Ben also adds to this as he can competently cover a couple of different positions.”
