The fixtures for Super League XVI have been released, with tough starts for Wigan and Warrington, and an early SKY TV date for Hull and Leeds.

Champions Wigan play St Helens at the Magic Weekend, which opens the season on February 12th and 13th at the Millennium Stadium in Cardiff, and then face a tricky trip to a rejuvenated Bradford, before taking on St George Illawarra Dragons in the World Club Challenge the following weekend.

Challenge Cup holders Warrington play Huddersfield in a repeat of the 2009 cup final, before hosting Hull KR on February 20th. They then travel to the Stobart Stadium to face St Helens, in Saints’ first game at their adopted ground, before James Lowes makes a return to the Halliwell Jones Stadium with Leeds.

The stand out game of round two, the first regular round of the season, sees Hull host Leeds in a game to be televised on SKY on Friday 18th February, while Castleford host Huddersfield the day after in the other SKY game.

Round 3 sees Crusaders host Bradford in front of the TV cameras, while there are also televised dates for Harlequins-Huddersfield, Warrington-Leeds, Wakefield-Warrington, Castleford-Catalans, Leeds-St Helens, Wigan-Warrington and Hull KR-Huddersfield before the end of March.

The second of three Hull derbies this season takes place on Friday 22nd April, when FC host Rovers live on SKY, with the return fixture scheduled for Sunday 5th June at Craven Park.

Easter promises to be another thrilling weekend of derby action, with Bradford taking on Leeds, Castleford hosting Wakefield and St Helens travelling to Wigan for a repeat of last season’s Grand Final, before the sides meet in the reverse fixture on Friday 17th June.
