Super League has teamed up with Tickets for Troops to provide over 1,000 tickets to members of the Armed Forces for the Magic Weekend in Edinburgh.
The 2010 Magic Weekend sees Scotland’s capital city host seven Engage Super League matches at Murrayfield on May 1 and 2 and tickets for this Rugby League extravaganza were made available by Super League as part of their continued support for Tickets for Troops.
Phil Williams, Super Leagues Marketing Manager, said: “We’re very pleased to be able to offer over 1,000 tickets to this very worthy cause.
“The Magic Weekend will be a fantastic event and I’m sure that the members of the Armed Forces that go along will have a great time.”
Raleigh Addington, Tickets for Troops Operations Director, said: “Edinburgh is home to so many troops and we are delighted that so many will be able enjoy this opportunity to attend one of Rugby League biggest events.
“The RFL is one of many generous organisations from the world of sport including football, horse-racing, tennis, athletics, darts and snooker supporting the initiative by providing free tickets.
“Tickets for Troops is beginning to make a real difference amongst the Armed Forces. They really do appreciate the recognition they are receiving for the difficult jobs they do.”
