Super League round-up: Johnstone hat-trick, Livett inspires Warrington, Wigan nil Salford

There were quite a few entertaining games in round 14 of Super League.

St Helens eased past Catalans Dragons 26-12 at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Thursday night to stay at the top of the Super League table. Regan Grace scored two tries for Saints, while Tommy Makinson and Jonny Lomax also impressed.

Jake Wardle scored two tries on his Super League debut to help Huddersfield Giants beat Widnes Vikings 28-18 at the John Smith’s Stadium. Olly Russell also made his first team debut for the Giants.

Sam Tomkins grabbed a brace as Wigan Warriors kept Salford Red Devils scoreless following a 30-0 scoreline at the DW Stadium. George Williams, Oliver Gildart, Tony Clubb and John Bateman also got on the scoresheet.

Harvey Livett scored a hat-trick to guide Warrington Wolves seal a 33-22 victory over Leeds Rhinos at Emerald Headingley. Warrington scored four tries in the last 20 minutes.

Two tries each from Sika Manu ad Bureta Faraimo helped Hull FC move into fourth position in the Super League table after easing past Castleford Tigers 36-12 at the KCOM Stadium.

A hat-trick from Tom Johnstone helped Wakefield Trinity return to winning ways with a 54-18 victory over Hull Kingston Rovers at the Mobile Rocket Stadium.
