Super League predictions: Six home wins from seven including big upset
Here's how we think Round 23 of the Super League season will play out!
The final five rounds of the Super League season start this weekend, with Round 23 of the campaign featuring matches with big ramifications for both the top and bottom of the table.
Here’s how we think they’re going to play out..
Leeds Rhinos v Leigh Leopards
Round 23 starts with a cracker; first versus sixth in a game that has huge play-off ramifications for both Leeds and Leigh. The Rhinos will be looking to take another step towards top spot and know any slip-up could be decisive.
Meanwhile, Leigh need a win to keep seventh-placed St Helens at bay. It’ll be a cracker at Headingley – and we’re going with the league leaders to come out on top and preserve their unbeaten home run in 2026.
Prediction: Leeds by 6
Hull KR v Catalans Dragons
There are actually three games on Thursday, owing to the fact two teams play the following Tuesday. One of those, Hull KR, will be looking to continue their upward trajectory when they take on a badly out of sorts Catalans.
Of all the games this weekend, this feels like one of the easier ones to predict. We’re going with a big home win.
Prediction: Hull KR by 24
Warrington Wolves v York Knights
The other team in action next midweek are Warrington, with Sam Burgess’ side hosting Mark Applegarth’s York at the Halliwell Jones Stadium.
The Knights will be looking to finish 2026 with a real bang ahead of what will be a big off-season in North Yorkshire. But on this occasion, we think they’ll just come up short.
Prediction: Warrington by 16
Hull FC v Castleford Tigers
The form of Huddersfield Giants means both Hull and Castleford suddenly know another defeat on Friday could see them in real jeopardy of finishing bottom of Super League in 2026.
There is still so much drama going on at Castleford, it’s hard to imagine how they will be in any shape to really compete this weekend. Hull for back-to-back wins, in our opinion.
Prediction: Hull FC by 12
Wakefield Trinity v St Helens
Arguably the standout game of the weekend comes in West Yorkshire, as Daryl Powell’s side look to bounce back from last week’s disappointing loss to Leeds Rhinos with another statement win.
Their opponents this week? A Saints side who are all over the place at the minute. They’re struggling with injuries, and they’re rapidly entering must-win territory in terms of the play-offs. We think this will be another step too far for them. It’s our fifth home win from five!
Prediction: Wakefield by 10
Bradford Bulls v Wigan Warriors
However, that run of home wins will come shuddering to a halt later on Saturday evening, as Bradford and Wigan meet at Odsal Stadium.
It is a game which has been played in major finals throughout Super League history but in 2026, the two teams are on different trajectories. Wigan are starting to motor into life and while the Bulls will put up a fight at home, it’ll be too tall a task.
Prediction: Wigan by 20
Toulouse v Huddersfield Giants
We finish with a game between two more teams looking to avoid finishing bottom of the table. Toulouse have stuttered a little bit recently, while Huddersfield are looking for a fourth straight win.
The winner here? We’re going with a slight shock; Toulouse to be too strong at home – but only just.
