Super League preview: Wigan v Wakefield

test

Wigan will be looking to get back on track against Wakefield, as both sides aim for their first wins of the season.

The Warriors have won their last ten meetings (four at home) with the Wildcats, and head coach Shaun Wane has rested a number of backs after last week’s World Club Challenge defeat.

Matty Bowen, Josh Charnley, Darrell Goulding and Dan Sarginson are given the week off, with Anthony Gelling and Iain Thornley set to form a partnership in the centres.

18-year-old Connor Farrell, younger brother of Liam, will also feature for Wigan.

Wakefield are without injured forwards Scott Anderson, Richard Moore and Chris Annakin, whilst centre Dean Collis serves the first of his two-match suspension.

Mattie Wildie and Kyle Trout are called into head coach Richard Agar’s squad.
