Super League Preview: Hull KR v Castleford

James Gordon

Castleford travel to Hull KR for a televised match on Sunday which starts a run of four games in 13 days for Ian Millward’s men.

The Tigers lost at home to London Broncos last weekend, and will be looking to pick up a win at the start of a busy Easter period.

They welcome back Weller Hauraki from suspension, but Justin Carney will serve the second game of his ban.

Assistant coach Stuart Donlan said: “It’s a tough ask, particularly with the size of the squad that we’ve got, to be asked to play Sunday night, then Friday followed by Monday and then Friday again so we’re just going to have to take it game by game.

“We’ve prepared well for this game, then we’ll look at the Wakefield game next week and we’ll see how we come out of that before we move on to Easter Monday.

“A win on Sunday would be a good way to start this tough period that we’ve got.

Hull KR lost at Bradford last time out, but have won their last two home games against Warrington and Widnes.

Hull KR 19-man squad: Salter, Brown, Beaumont, Horne, Griffin, Paterson, Mika, Tuimavave, Welham, Burns, Hall, Paea, Carlile, Cox, Dobson, D Hodgson, Eden, Lovegrove, J Hodgson.

Castleford 19-man squad: Owen, Shenton, Webster, Dixon, Chase, Ellis, Walker, Clark, Huby, Gilmour, Hauraki, Millington, Emmitt, Milner, Massey, Holmes, Thompson, Tansey, Mason.

Prediction: Rovers will have too much for Castleford – home win.
