Super League Pod Predictions – Super 8s Week 3

James Gordon

Super League Pod predictions in association with Love Rugby League this week looked ahead to Round 3 of the Super 8s in both Super League and the Qualifiers.

Mark was joined by Alan this week to go through what they thought would happen, and as is bound to be the case from timt to time, they came up with many similar picks.

Warrington v Hull – both SLP hosts think that Wire will bounce back from their Cup Final defeat against an out of sorts and injury ravaged Hull FC side.

Huddersfield v Wakefield – the lads at SLP think Trinity’s season is on the wind-down, whilst the Giants are still in red hot form, so both think the Huddersfield cowbell will ring out in celebration this week.

St Helens v Wigan – in one of the least anticipated top v second Derby games in memory, Mark and Alan both tipped an on the road win for Wigan to stop St Helens lifting the League Leaders Shield this week.

Castleford v Catalan – with the party in Perignan still in full swing, the boys can’t see ast a big Castleford win on Saturday.

Leeds v Hull KR – for once this week, the two hosts went different ways. Alan thinks Leeds will keep up their strong Qualifiers start, whilst MArk has made the surprise move of tipping a draw in this one.

Toulouse v Widnes – back to the same predictions, as the guys think Toulouse will have just toomuch flair for a downtrodden Widnes.

Toronto v London – the home side get the backing in this one for both SLP hosts.

Halifax v Salford – with the Red Devils in top form, it’s hard to go against them against part-time Fax, and nether Mark or Alan find it in themselves to do that.

They also look at the now potentially crucial Swinton v Rochdale Championship Shield game and Working v York in League 1. The guys are at least split in who will win these games, so listen in to find out who tips who.
