Super League extend links with talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2

Super League have announced that a new two-year contract extension has been agreed with talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2.

TalkSPORT and talkSPORT 2 will broadcast more than 90 Betfred Super League games over the next two years.

As an official broadcast partner of the Betfred Super League, talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2 will produce a lot of coverage of the sport along with a dedicated magazine programme on talkSPORT 2 every Wednesday between 4pm-6pm.

The contract extension will see live games broadcast on both stations until the end of the 2019 Betfred Super League campaign.

TalkSPORT 2’s coverage starts with Widnes Vikings v Catalans Dragons on Sunday 4 February, 3pm kick-off.

Ralph Rimmer, RFL interim CEO, said: “It’s fantastic that we have agreed a two-year contract extension with talkSPORT and talkSPORT 2 enabling Rugby League fans throughout the country to listen to more than 90 live Betfred Super League games over the next two years.

“The Rugby League show on talkSPORT 2 is already proving very popular and I’m sure more fans will tune in over the season to listen live or download the podcast.”
