Super League confirm broadcast selections for Round 23

Super League have confirmed their broadcast selections for Round 23, with Channel 4 showing Salford’s home game against Huddersfield.

The round gets underway on Thursday, August 11. The Sky Sports cameras will show Toulouse’s visit to Warrington.

Sky Sports will show another game the following night, with Hull KR interim boss Danny McGuire looking to get one over his old team Leeds.

Channel 4 will show their eighth and final live Super League match of the season on Saturday, August 13. Huddersfield coach Ian Watson takes his side to face his former employers Salford, with both teams vying for a spot in the play-offs. Channel 4 will also show a play-off eliminator and semi-final in September.

Warrington v Toulouse – 8pm – Sky Sports

Friday, August 12

Hull KR v Leeds – 8pm – Sky Sports

Castleford v Catalans – 8pm

Saturday, August 13

Salford v Huddersfield – 1pm – Channel 4

Sunday, August 14

Hull FC v St Helens – 3pm

Wakefield v Wigan – 3pm

Super League on TV

This week, Sky Sports will show Wigan’s visit of Toulouse on Thursday night (8pm).

The West Yorkshire derby of Castleford and Wakefield will be broadcast on Sky Sports Arena on Friday night (8pm).

Ligi Sao Hull FC Super League red card

Hull forward Ligi Sao is one of seven Super League players who have been suspended following the latest round of Super League matches.

Samoa international Sao was sent off in Hull’s 46-18 defeat to Castleford on Friday night. The Rugby Football League’s match review panel have referred him to tribunal after giving him a Grade D striking charge.

The RFL have banned two more players from the same game. Hull’s Connor Wynne and Castleford’s Jake Mamo will sit out this week for disputing decisions made by the referee.

Meanwhile, the match review panel have handed a one-match ban to Huddersfield centre Leroy Cudjoe for dangerous contact in their 13-12 loss against Catalans Dragons in Perpignan.

Toulouse will be without star prop Daniel Alvaro for this weekend’s game against Hull in the south of France. The Italy international will miss Saturday’s clash for dangerous contact in Saturday’s 24-11 loss to Salford.

Fiji international Korbin Sims will miss Hull KR’s trip to Wigan on Thursday night after receiving a one-match ban for dangerous contact.

Wakefield forward Kelepi Tanginoa will miss Friday’s derby against Castleford after being receiving a one-match ban for dangerous contact in their 13-12 golden point defeat to St Helens.
