Luke Gale reacts to red card

Hull skipper and half-back Luke Gale was sent from the field in his side’s defeat to St Helens live on Channel 4.

Gale caught opposition half Jonny Lomax with his boot in an attempt to charge down a kick. That saw him sent off by referee Chris Kendall just 11 minutes into the tie.

12-man Hull would go on to fall to a 38-6 home defeat to the champions in wet conditions.

Gale himself responded to the incident on social media, pleading his innocence.

Superb content from Dewsbury

Championship outfit Dewsbury shared a first-class tweet on Sunday morning.

The side ‘featured’ at the Winter Olympics through Switzerland skier, Joos Berry.

250 career tries for Josh Charnley

Josh Charnley scored his 250th career try in Warrington’s win over Castleford. The former Wigan winger has 199 tries in Super League to his name.

He is joint-third in the all-time competition list alongside Keith Senior and Paul Wellens.

The international winger also made his 100th Warrington appearance on Thursday night.

Touching tribute to Johnny Whiteley MBE

Hull paid their respects to Johnny Whiteley MBE, who passed away earlier this week aged 91.

The Super League side held an emotional tribute to their legend, including a special performance from Lizzie Jones.

Super League results

Despite Storm Eunice, all Super League ties went ahead over the weekend. Warrington kicked-off round two with a victory over Castleford.

Jai Field impressed again at full-back for Wigan against Leeds. St Helens displayed their dominance over Hull live on Channel 4 on Saturday afternoon.

Wakefield almost pulled off the shock of the round with a close result in Perpignan against Catalans. Ian Watson’s Huddersfield are two from two in 2022, while Salford also remain undefeated.

Hakim Miloudi enjoys the snow

The weather has been a talking point for the sport in recent weeks.

Cumbrian sides have ‘enjoyed’ a lot of rain over the last few weeks, while Hull had all seasons on Saturday afternoon.

One player enjoying the weather is Barrow’s Hakim Miloudi, pictured below in the snow!
