Still work to do for Huddersfield, says Anderson

Huddersfield coach Paul Anderson wants to see further improvements from his side, despite two wins over the Easter weekend.

The Giants followed up Friday’s 42-22 win over Salford with a comfortable 36-16 win over Wakefield to double their win tally for the season so far.

Anderson told the club’s official website: “Two wins in two games and that’s the positive. We have had a 36 point win haven’t we, well you can’t forget about that.

“I have said to the players and I don’t want to sound disrespectful to Wakefield when I say this but when we take a step up in the quality of opposition, if we think that is good enough we are kidding ourselves.

“Today with the changes that they made we were well within our rights if we had worked hard enough to think that we could have done a lot better.”

Huddersfield have a week off this weekend due to their exit from the Challenge Cup, but then host high-flying Castleford on May 4.
