Stewart out for Sea Eagles

Manly’s Glenn Stewart will miss Friday night’s blockbuster clash with Wests Tigers due to injury.

Stewart has been told to sit out the match at Bluetongue Stadium after receiving medical advice on his finger, which he damaged in the opening round win over the New Zealand Warriors.

He will be sidelined for at least two weeks.

Sea Eagles Coach Geoff Toovey said Glenn had been hoping for better news.

“It’s disappointing for Glenn, disappointing for the team. Along with Steve Matai, it’s a big loss for the game on Friday night,” said Toovey.

A decision on Stewart’s replacement is yet to be made.
