Steve Price confirms Jason Clark was rested

Warrington coach Steve Price says Australian forward Jason Clark was simply rested for the win over Huddersfield.

Clark, 29, sat out the 50-19 win over the Giants off the back of the Easter weekend double-header.

Providing an update on injuries after the game, Price confirmed that as with Ben Currie last week, he had just given Clark a rest.

Price said: “Jason Clark was purely rested. He’s been doing a really good job for us, he plays the game hard.

“So I thought it would be best to give him a rest this week so he can come back into the team next week.

“Bryson (Goodwin)’s not too bad. He’s a tough player and he understands what it takes to get his ankle right to get back for next week.

“Tom Lineham took a knock to his knee in the corner when he was trying to get out of his in-goal line. It was another special moment to play 65 minutes with an injury. We’ll assess it during the week and go from there.”
