Steve Prescott Update

Correspondent

After obtaining a second opinion, Stephen underwent a major operation last Tuesday (20th November) at the North Hampshire Hospital in Basingstoke, one of only two hospitals in the country which specialises in the rare condition Pseudomyxoma.

Stephen is making a very good recovery following the operation, and all the medical staff are pleased with his progress.

It is hoped Stephen will be allowed to leave hospital sometime this week, when he will return to continue his recovery and build himself up for the follow up treatment of chemotherapy in the coming months.

Stephen is aware that he has overcome the first hurdle, however he still has many more ahead.

It is with great appreciation that family, friends and well wishers from Hull, St Helens and the wider world of Rugby League are offering their full support and encouragement during this difficult time. It is thesethoughts and wishes that is giving them the inner strength and comfort to face the future battle that lies ahead.

Once Again Thank You All Very Much
