Stanley Gene to mentor PNG club TNA Lions

Stanley Gene is set for a role in his native Papua New Guinea, with the former Hull KR legend to return to mentor club side the TNA Lions.

Love Rugby League understands that Gene is in Port Moresby to help ready the team for the 2016 Digicel Cup campaign.

Gene will travel back and forth between the UK and PNG periodically to help the team with his experience and expertise.

The former KR, Hull FC, Huddersfield, Halifax and Bradford player left his role as Newcastle Thunder coach at the end of last season.
