Staff for 2007 Season

Correspondent

Last Tackle continues to increase its profile and content, and this cannot be done without contributors in all of our various sections. We of course cover not only Super League and the NRL, but the National Leagues, Challenge Cup and the International and amateur game.

The site is administrated by James Gordon, who set up Last Tackle in September 2005. Chief Editor Tony Williams is the primary source and writer of content for the site, and also assists with his own editorial, the extremely popular Eye on Rugby League.

Until now, all work on the site has been carried out between us. But over the close season, we have had a great response to our "Wanted Writers and Photographers" advert.

In the position of Super League correspondent we have appointed Adrian Jackson, who is a radio commentator at Warrington General Hospital, and compiles regular radio interviews with Warrington and Widnes players. And in the past week, he has been joined in the position by Steve Till, an extremely experiened Journalist, who is based in Hull.

To improve our coverage down under, Vahe Ohannessian has been appointed as NRL correspondent. Vahe has experience of writing for sports sites in Australia, and he hopes to provide thorough coverage of the NRL on Last Tackle.

Back in the UK, Castleford fan Mark Fullilove has taken on the role of National Leagues correspondent. He will be responsible for keeping the site ticking over with National Leagues news, as well as writing weekly round ups of the action.

Furthermore, we have finally got a photographer on board with us. Craig Brough boasts an impressive portfolio, and his work will soon be appearing with the majority of our news articles and other content items on the site.

We are still looking for people to fill correspondent positions. Ideally, we would like to appoint someone to take the National League 2 work off Mark's hands, as well as someone to cover the Amateur game and the International game. And of course we are always looking for photographers.

If you are interested in taking over any of these positions, please email webmanager@lasttackle.co.uk
