St Helens without Regan Grace for Hull clash

St Helens could be without both regular wingers for Friday’s home game against Hull.

Regan Grace is ruled out after being concussed during last Saturday’s 20-16 defeat by Catalans Dragons while Tommy Makinson is still recovering from a recurrence of a foot injury.

Saints coach Kristian Woolf said: “Regan has recovered really well and there are no issues but he won’t be available this week because of the short turnaround.

“Tommy ran terrifically today but we won’t be taking a risk because we don’t want him doing the same as last time. If we’re not 100 per cent with Tommy, he won’t play.”

That could mean a run-out for young centre Josh Simm, who has been recalled from his loan spell with Leigh.
