The South Sydney Rabbitohs have been confirmed as St Helens‘ opponents in next year’s World Cup Challenge.

The match will take place at Langtree Park on February 22, with full ticketing details to be released later.

“What an evening it’s going to be at the new home of the Saints, Langtree Park, on February 22 2015 when St Helens and the South Sydney Rabbitohs together determine who is the best rugby league club in the world,” said Saints chairman Eamonn McManus.

“Both have great histories: now we decide who has the greatest present.

“We warmly welcome the Bunnies and the NRL.

“In particular, I’d like to welcome their co-owner Russell Crowe. What we do in this life echoes in eternity: strength, honour, shadows and dust indeed.

“The next four months will fly by.”
