St Helens will celebrate their League Leaders’ Shield success after Friday’s home match against Castleford.

The Saints take on the Tigers at the Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday, 7:45pm kick-off.

And the match will be the first time Justin Holbrook’s side have been in action since Saturday’s 18-4 defeat to Warrington in the Challenge Cup final at Wembley.

In a statement released by St Helens, it read: “After being confirmed as back-to-back League Leader’s Shield winners and currently holding a 16 point advantage at the top of the table, the presentation will be a celebration of what has been a remarkable 2019 league campaign to date with Saints showing their incredible consistency throughout the 26 weekly rounds to date.

“It’s Saints’ eighth League Leaders’ Shield in total and we are the first team to retain it since we did so ourselves back in 2008.”
