Friday’s Super League clash between St Helens and Salford Red Devils has been postponed but they are looking to rearrange it for Sunday.

The game was meant to take place at The Totally Wicked Stadium on Friday night but has been called off due to the poor weather conditions.

Saints have released a statement, it said: “The club is now working with Salford, the RFL and other relevant bodies to re-arrange the fixture on Sunday for the best possible time to ensure the game can be played safely.

“The current forecast indicates that the temperature will increase on Sunday and it is due to this that we are continuing to work hard to get the game on.

“We will update fans shortly.”
