St Helens will be without prop Agnatius Paasi

St Helens prop Agnatius Paasi has been given a two-match ban by the Rugby Football League’s match review panel.

The Tonga international has been charged with a Grade C high tackle in their 31-30 loss to Catalans Dragons at Magic Weekend. He is set to miss Saints’ upcoming games against Leeds and Salford.

Elsewhere, Huddersfield utility Sam Hewitt has been handed a one-match ban for a Grade B forearm from the ball carrier in their 32-18 defeat to Wakefield. He will miss Saturday’s trip to Catalans.

    • Were you close enough to see what happened? I only saw it on TV and didn’t get a clear view of the incident and I don’t believe it was repeated, so I’m not really sure what happened, like the vast majority of the public. I’m sure the match review panel looked at it though, from many angles, and took the match officials’ reports into consideration, too. So I suppose that maybe we have to accept that the panel got it right?
