St Helens have confirmed that forward pair Luke Douglas and Liam Cooper will leave the club at the end of the season.

Should Saints beat Wigan in the play-off semi-final on Friday, the club will proceed directly to the Super League Grand Final at Old Trafford on October 12.

With that in mind, the club are going to thank the players who will leave the club at the end of the season by welcoming them onto the Totally Wicked Stadium pitch for one final time prior to Friday night’s kick-off at approximately 7:25pm.

In the event of a victory on Friday,  it will mark the end of coach Justin  Holbrook’s time at the ground and therefore, he will address the fans after the full-time hooter.

Holbrook will become head coach of NRL side Gold Coast Titans on a two-year deal from 2020, with Kristian Woolf replacing him on a two-year contract.

Scotland international Douglas will hang up his boots from playing professional rugby league, while Adam Swift has taken up a contract with Hull FC.

Cooper has been linked with a move to Championship side Widnes in 2020.
