St Helens youngster Matty Lees has been charged with a Grade C high tackle and has received a two-match penalty notice.

Lees, who has played two games for Sheffield Eagles on dual-registration this season, was sent-off for a high shot on Salford Red Devils full-back Niall Evalds, who then failed a concussion assessment, in Saints’ 60-10 win at the AJ Bell Stadium on Thursday.

He will serve a two-game suspension unless Saints decide to appeal against the red card.

Meanwhile, Wakefield Trinity forward Pauli Pauli has received a caution for use of knees in their defeat to West Yorkshire rivals Castleford Tigers on Friday.
