St Helens 48-4 Salford

Salford had no answer to the pace, skill and power on show from the Saints and despite a late try by Andy Coley, the Reds failed to break down the St Hellens tough defence,

Sean Long scored the first of nine trys by the hosts, and from then on Salford didn't really have a chance.

Matt Gidley continued the demolishing job, by finishing a well worked move in the centre of the park. Sean Long was having problems with having the kicking duties, leaving Paul Wellens to take the reins.

Francis Meli, Lyon Pryce and Ade Gardner added to Salfords misery as they went in at half time 26 nill down.

After the break, it didn't take long for Saints to find their way over again, this time Maurie Fa'asavalu having the honours to go over from close range.

Mike Bennett, James Roby finished off the try scoring, to cap a good Easter weekend off for the champions.
