St George 16-10 Gold Coast

Wayne Bennett registered his first victory as coach of St George when his team overcame Gold Coast 16-10 at WIN Stadium.

Disjointed play from both teams made for a dour first half scoreline of 6-4 but the Dragons, galvanized by Jamie Soward, the Dragons did enough to secure the win.

A late try from Titans new boy Will Zillman gave them hope, but was not enough.
