SRL to run development day in Edinburgh

Scotland Rugby League are holding a development day in Edinburgh for eligible Under-19s players from across the UK.

The day will take place at the University of Edinburgh on August 23, with the aim of boosting the player pool for the age group side.

Scotland Under-19sImages have two internationals scheduled for the autumn, against England Lions and Ireland.

Players at the development day woll be assessed by the Scotland RL coaching staff, including head coach Mark Senter and his assistant, the former Sheffield Eagles and Scotland forward Jack Howieson.

They will also be briefed on the Scotland player pathway.

Six players have made the jump from the Under-19s to the full Scotland side in the last four years. Doncaster’s David Scott, Corbyn Kilday at Central Queensland Capras, Louis Senter, Harvey Burnett, Shae Lyon-Fraser and Crawford Matthews.

Scotland Under-19 Development Day:

Sunday 23rd August – 9am – 4pm

Scotland Under-19 fixtures:

10th October – ENGLAND LIONS v SCOTLAND – 12pm at Leigh Miners
24th October – SCOTLAND v IRELAND – 1pm at University of Edinburgh
