On signing the contract Spears said, “I’m honoured and proud to have signed a new contract at Featherstone Rovers. I am really enjoying my time at the club and fully focused on the remaining games in 2013 to bring some silverware back to the club.

“2014 promises to be an important year for the club and I am looking forward to playing my part.”

Rovers Chief Executive Craig Poskitt said, “We are pleased that Tim will remain at the club. Tim has a wealth of experience and sets a great example for our younger professionals.

“Our squad for 2014 is really taking shape now and we will be making further announcements in due course.”
