The 31-year old, who joined London Broncos mid-season for a short stint, announced on Twitter that he was hanging up his boots.

Soward played for the Roosters, St George Illawarra, London and Penrith in a 12-year career in both the NRL and Super League.

He played three games for NSW in 2011 and won the 2010 NRL grand final with the Dragons.

In 2016 the playmaker scored three tries in seven matches for London in the Super 8s.
