South Wales pair face disciplinary

Two South Wales Scorpions players will appear before the RFL Disciplinary Committee on Tuesday charged with making an illegal tackle in their team’s Co-operative Championship One match at Workington Town on June 27.

Scorpions prop Liam Roach and half-back Loz Wildbore have both been charged with the Grade B offence of making a dangerous throw in the 77th minute.

Swinton Lions player Andy Isherwood has been cautioned for running into a confrontation in the sixth minute of last Sunday’s match against Blackpool Panthers. Blackpool player David Best also received a caution for fighting in the sixth minute of the same game.

The charges and cautions were issued following a meeting of the RFL’s Match Review Panel on Thursday.
