South Sydney Rabbitohs have re-signed veteran John Sutton for 2019 but Zane Musgrove has joined Wests Tigers on a three-year deal.

Sutton is South Sydney’s most capped player and will play his 16thseason in the NRL next season, having played over 300 games for the club.

The 34-year-old captained the Rabbitohs to their Grand Final win back in 2014.

On his new deal, Sutton said: “I couldn’t be happier about having the opportunity to play another season with Souths.

“It’s my dream job and I feel privileged to have the chance to play rugby league for a living with a club like this.”

Meanwhile, front-rower Musgrove has joined the Tigers on a deal until at least the end of the 2021 season.

He has played 27 NRL games since making his first-grade debut in 2016 and earned a cap for Samoa at last year’s World Cup.

Wests’ coach Michael Maguire commented: “When I worked with Zane previously and he played consecutive games, I could see that he was growing into a really strong player.

“He brings size, strength and skill to our pack and works hard on his defence.

“I look forward to working with him to help him reach his potential.”
