Sosaia Feki hoping to become a fan’s favourite at Castleford

Castleford’s new recruit Sosaia Feki hopes he can become a fan’s favourite at Castleford – just like his good friend Jesse Sene-Lefao.

The 29-year-old has joined the Tigers on a three-year deal from Cronulla in the off-season – but has yet to appear for the Tigers in a competitive match due to the coronavirus pandemic that saw play suspended.

Feki, who scored 67 tries in 148 appearances for the Sharks, is aiming to make a good impression on Castleford supporters.

He told the club’s website: “The fans here – I’ve heard that they’re crazy – in a good way!

“I’ve been told that they’re loud and loyal and how awesome this place can be on game days and Jesse has told me a few stories about the fans.

“Jesse is a fan’s favourite here and he’s told me nothing but good stuff about the supporters and I’m hoping that the fans will like me just as much in the future too.

“I’m pretty excited, I was nervous at the start but I’m here and I’m looking forward to it. It’s a new challenge I’d been at Cronulla for seven years and Castleford gave me an offer and I’ve taken it with both hands and it’s a new challenge that I’m looking forward to.”
