So far so good for Leeds

Leeds avoided another potential banana skin as they saw off London Broncos 48-32 in the capital.

Joel Moon scored a hat-trick of tries as the Rhinos made it two wins from two in The Qualifiers, despite losing the second half 26-20 against the Championship side.

Full-back Ashton Golding scored a brace of tries, but was helped off with a knee injury late on, though he is hopeful it won’t rule him out of their next game against Hull KR.

Golding told the club’s official website: “It could have been a banana skin, our attitude was tested and we responded really well, especially in the first half.

“I thought it was a good all round performance. I haven’t played at full back for a while, I’ve had to wait for my chance, and hopefully I did well.

“The knee won’t stop me, we’re at the stage of the season now where you’ve just got to play. We’ve got a week off now, so we’ll be in training and be ready for Hull KR.

“We’ve been challenged by two styles of play so far and have been ruthless.

“The number of points conceded is quite concerning, as you’ve got to be squeaky clean defensively, but we’ve got time to build, get a few bodies back and we’ll go from there.”
