SL Preview: London Broncos v Wigan Warriors

Correspondent

Wigan Warriors will hope to extend their lead at the top when they travel south to face London Broncos on Saturday afternoon.

The Warriors have won their last ten games  and are three points clear of nearest rivals Huddersfield at the top of the Super League table.

Hosts London surprised everybody with a Challenge Cup win over Bradford on Friday and will be looking to steer themselves away from the foot of the table when Wigan come to town.

Antonio Kaufusi is unavailable for the Broncos as he serves the first of a two-game suspension for a Grace C reckless strike. Tommy Lee and Chris Melling, who both sustained injuries in Friday’s cup win, miss out but Alex Hurst, Shane Rodney and James Mendeika all return to the squad.

Wigan head coach Shaun Wane must decide on who his half-backs will be for the trip to London with both Blake Green and Matty Smith having ankle and shoulder injuries respectively.

London Broncos 19-man squad: Bailey, Bryant, Cook, Dixon, Dollapi, Dorn, Fisher, Gower, Grady, Howell, Hurst, Krasniqi, Lovell, Mendeika, Robertson, Rodney, Sarginson, Wheeldon, Witt.

Wigan Warriors 19-man squad: Burke, Charnley, Crosby, Farrell, Flower, Goulding, Hansen, Lauaki, Mcllorum, Mossop, O’Loughlin, Powell, Richards, Taylor, Thornley, L. Tomkins, S. Tomkins, Tuson, Williams.

Prediction: Expect Wigan to overpower London and extend their lead at the top – away win.
