SL Preview: Hull KR v Huddersfield Giants

Correspondent

Hull KR host Huddersfield at the weekend hoping to solidify their place in Super League‘s top eight.

The Robins lifted themselves into the play-off places courtesy of a win at Bradford last week and St Helens‘ defeat to Huddersfield.

Paul Anderson‘s Giants kept up the pressure on Wigan with that victory and could again move to within a point of the table-toppers if they win and the Warriors lose.

Hull KR coach Craig Sandercock has named an unchanged squad from the 19 that defeated Bradford last weekend.

Jason Chan is again unavailable for Anderson’s side as the backrower continues his recovery from a ruptured bicep. Anthony Mullally is free to play after avoiding action for a tackle that left St Helens winger Ade Gardner unconscious in Monday’s win.

Hull KR 19-man squad: Salter, Brown, Walker, Netherton, Tuimavave, Cox, Mika, Burns, Horne, Withers, Hall, Paea, Hodgson. D, Lovegrove, Dobson, Latus, Eden, Beaumont, Hodgson. J.

Huddersfield Giants 19-man squad: Grix, Cudjoe, Wardle, McGillvary, Brough, Robinson, Crabtree, Lunt, Kopczak, Ferres, Faiumu, Lawrence, Patrick, Ta’ai, Murphy, Cording, Ferguson, Mullally, Dwyer.

Prediction: Huddersfield are in imperious form at the moment and should be too much for Hull KR – Huddersfield win.
