Skolars sign Aussie prop Roach

Championship 1 side London Skolars have completed the signing of Australian prop Liam Roach.

Roach debuted for the Canterbury Bankstown Bulldogs NYC Toyota Cup side in 2008 before signing with the Wests Tigers NYC in 2009. He also played for feeder club Balmain Ryde Eastwood Tigers in the NSW State Cup competition.

Skolars head coach James Massara said: “Liam was very keen to get over to the UK and get stuck in to pre season and meet his new team mates.

“I like his attitude. He is really making the most of his opportunity so far and is fitting in well with the squad.”

Roach is aiming to get his first opportunity to pull on the Skolars shirt against Harlequins at the HAC in the ETF Securities Capital Challenge on January 22.
