Skolars seal League 1 Shield final place

London Skolars have secured a place in the League 1 Shield final after a 16-6 win over Gloucestershire All Golds.

Skolars have won eight straight games to climb to the top of the table, one point ahead of Hunslet, who they will face for the silverware in a fortnight.

The two will clash in a dress rehearsal in south Leeds this Sunday, with the winner given home advantage for the final the following week.

Last season was the first year of the League 1 Shield, and it was won by Newcastle Thunder, 31-26 over North Wales Crusaders.
