Six players banned following round three of Super League

Six players have been banned following the third round of Super League.

Castleford’s Bureta Faraimo has been charged with a Grade B Reckless High Tackle. He will miss the club’s next two games against Hull and Huddersfield respectively.

The Tigers winger was shown a yellow card following a high shot on Hull KR full-back Will Dagger.

Liam Watts has also received a one-match ban. He was sent from the field in the same fixture for a late and high shot on Mikey Lewis. He has received a Grade A Careless High Tackle.

Lee Radford’s side remain without a win so far in 2022.

Four more players charged in Super League

St Helens back-rower Curtis Sironen has received a Grade B Late hit on passer and will miss one game due to suspension. The champions travel to Hull KR on Friday night.

Dan Sarginson has been hit with a one-match penalty notice for a late hit. He will miss Salford’s next game with Huddersfield. Paul Rowley’s side fell to their first defeat of the season to Hull at the MKM Stadium.

Ryan Brierley will also miss the fixture with a one-match ban.

Catalans hooker Michael McIlorum has also been hit with a one-match penalty notice. He has been charged with a Grade A Careless High Tackle following the win over Leeds.

  • Dan Sarginson – Salford Red Devils – Grade A Late hit on passer – 1 Match Penalty Notice
