Leeds skipper Kevin Sinfield is one of six players hit with RFL disciplinary charges this week.

Sinfield has been charged with making a Grade C head-butt on Castleford Tigers player Luke Dorn in the 74th minute of their teams’ clash last Thursday.

The RFL defines Grade C as being a head-butt where “full contact” is made. Grades A and B are for light contact, while Grades E and F are for making “full contact in an aggressive and violent manner.”

Four players have been charged with Grade A punching, following an incident in the 59th minute of Hull KR‘s home game with Salford Red Devils.

Travis Burns and Adam Walker of Hull KR, and Josh Griffin and Tommy Lee of Salford are the players charged.

Lee also faces an additional charge of making a Grade B shoulder charge on Burns in the same game.

Matty Ashurst of Salford has been charged with making Grade B dangerous contact with Jason Netherton in the 15th minute of the same fixture.

Warrington’s Chris Hill has been given a formal caution, after he was adjudged to have made dangerous contact with Widnes Vikings player Willie Isa during last Friday’s game.

Sinfield, Burns, Walker, Griffin, Lee and Ashurst have until 11am on Tuesday July 21 to submit Early Guilty Pleas.

Lee also has the option of submitting an Early Guilty Plea to one of his two charges. He is set to face an independent disciplinary tribunal on the other on Tuesday evening.
