Wigan youngster Jake Shorrocks is looking to slot into the Warriors’ halves this season, and take his career to the next level in 2017.

The 21-year-old pivot, who can play at hooker as well as in the halves, made his debut for Wigan at Widnes in May.

He went on to play in 11 out of the Warriors’ last 13 games of the season before the Grand Final, losing his place to returning skipper Sean O’Loughlin.

“I definitely see myself as a halfback, and I’d like to push for that spot,” he told Wigantoday.net.

“But I’m happy to play wherever Shaun (Wane) wants me.

“Last year was pretty special, I made my debut and I felt I had a decent season.

“I got some good experience at Super League level and now I’ve got to build on that in terms of my performances.”
