Shenton to miss Castleford’s Giant clash

Castleford coach Daryl Powell has revealed that centre Michael Shenton will not be playing against Huddersfield Giants laster this week.

Shenton has been recovering from the dislocated shoulder he suffered in the game against Catalans Dragons on August 22.

“He won’t be fit for this week, but I think he has got a chance of playing against St Helens,” said Powell, according to the Yorkshire Evening Post.

“We will just have to check on how he goes over the next week. He has still got some pain in there, but his movement is not bad.

“He is just over a week out from a dislocated shoulder so it will take a bit of time for him to recover, but he is a bit freakish in that.

“He played two weeks after he did it before, so hopefully we will have him available for the Saints game.”
