Sheffield sign PNG prop

Sheffield Eagles have signed Papua New Guinean prop forward Mark Mexico from Newcastle Thunder.

The player, who has also spent time with Cronulla Sharks in the NRL, has apparently signed a two-year deal with the Eagles.

The 26-year-old has represented PNG at international level, and will line up at Sheffield alongside fellow PNG star Menzie Yere.

Mexico has now returned home to PNG for a break, before returning to the UK in plenty of time for preseason.
