Sheffield sign Oldham centre

Sheffield have signed centre Zack McComb from Oldham on a one-year contract.

The 24-year-old helped the Roughyeds gain promotion back to the Championship in 2019, scoring 16 tries in 24 appearances.

McComb said: “I am looking forward to it, I’m seeing this as a big challenge for myself.

“They’re a good club and just missed out on the top five. Mark has plans to kick on and I want to be a part of that and push for a starting position by having a good pre-season.

“I am looking forward to meeting the lads, the coaches, and to develop myself as a player in a new environment.

“Pushing on from a seventh-placed finish, hopefully we can kick on this year and to make the top five and challenge for Super League is something we want to be doing.”
