Sheens welcomes increased competition for places

Hull KR coach Tim Sheens is hoping to have a few more selection headaches in the coming weeks as players return from injury.

The Robins are six from six in the Championship so far this season and look favourites for an immediate return to Super League.

Their latest triumph was a 48-6 win away at Dewsbury, with attention this turning to a Challenge Cup tie against Sheffield.

Sheens told the club’s official website: “Everyone contributed well, (Shaun) Lunt particularly well. We gave him a break at the end because he was playing big minutes. He was supported well by all the forwards and the outside backs did some great stuff too.

“The forwards are playing well so it’s hard to find a spot for Horne and give him the big minutes I would like to but we are squeezing him out there.

” There are no reserve games in the next month so it’s going to be tougher and tougher for the forwards but I am glad for the competition.

“Danny Addy should be available in two weeks’ time, it won’t in the cup tie but the week after, the same probably for George Lawler.

“(Nick) Scruton jammed his head but we don’t anticipate anyone missing this week.

“(Ryan) Shaw will be available, too. It will be tough to pick a team for next week but that’s the way I would prefer it.”
