Wigan coach Shaun Wane is counting on his reserve players to perform against Leeds.
He said: “It’s up to some of our under 20s players to stand up and be counted. No matter what the team is we will have a go and be competitive, and Leeds will know they are in a game.
“I am just really excited to taking my team there. It gives me an idea of where the likes of Dom Crosby are at, while Rhodri Lloyd and Logan Tomkins may get a shot on the bench. I have lots of different opportunities which way I can go.”
Despite seeing players sidelined through suspension and injury, Wane is under no illusions that his side cannot deliver, and expects to come away from Headingley with the two Super League points.
He said: “We were under the pump with players missing when we went to St Helens at Easter and we won and I am convinced if we play like we can we are more than capable of getting the two points.
“We have come through a very tough period of games so far and the players have done a great job.
“We are going to Leeds to win the game, there is no doubt about that, we will play tough and attack the best way we can.”
