Shaun Lunt wants to stay at Leeds after helping them to Super League Grand Final victory on Saturday.

Lunt, 25, has spent much of the season on loan at Headingley from Huddersfield, and is hoping a deal can be made to make his move a permanent one, despite him still having three years left on his deal with the Giants.

He told the Yorkshire Evening Post: “I would love to stay here, but we’ll have to see what happens.

“I am going to enjoy this and hopefully my manager can sort something out with Gary (Hetherington, Leeds chief executive).”

The Cumbrian, who joined Huddersfield from Workington in 2009, came off the bench as Leeds defeated Warrington 26-18 at Old Trafford.
