Shaun Edwards tips Wigan to win Super League Grand Final

Shaun Edwards has lifted the lid on his Wigan U-turn – but has predicted the Warriors will win the Super League Grand Final this year.

In April, Edwards confirmed that he will not be joining Wigan as head coach from 2020 as he opted to stay with Wales rugby union.

He initially agreed to take over the Warriors in August 2018 but pulled out of crossing codes because he thought he wasn’t the right man for the job.

Edwards told The Guardian: “It was very difficult and it is best not to say too much.

“I said Wigan needed a more experienced rugby league coach than me and I was right.

“They are doing well under Adrian Lam and I think they will win the Super League again this year.”
