Featherstone coach Jon Sharp is keen to see as many Rovers fans as poassible at the Big Fellas Stadium on Sunday for Ian Hardman‘s testimonial against York City Knights.

Full back Hardman is now heading into his eighth season with Rovers, and Sharp hopes his team can build on their good form in preseason friendlies so far.

Sharp’s team have beaten Halifax and Hunslet so far in their preseason games.

“Ian has served this club superbly over the years and he remains an integral part of the squad,” said the Rovers coach.

“Sunday provides us with an opportunity to celebrate his achievements over the years, giving him and his family the credit they deserve.

“He is an extremely committed individual and, for me, is a true professional.

“Ian has enjoyed many great days as a Featherstone player, so, on Sunday, we should all come together and ensure it is another memorable one for him.

“For the team as a whole, the visit of York provides us with another vital test as we move towards the season’s start.

“We will be looking to further improve on the performances we have given so far, while allowing a few players to come back into the mix.”
